You can consume content all day and still not feel like you are living free and walking out your kingdom purpose. Why? Because it’s about having more conversations not consuming more content. Conversations that cultivate the soil of our hearts so we can actually receive the truth being planted and watered it.
What’s up guys, welcome to Student Circles. If you were here with us for the Weekend Experience, let me hear you say on yeah! It was really good, so let’s talk about it.
The message from the weekend encouraged us to connect again, but maybe not the way you think. When I think about being connected there’s a couple things that immediately come to mind
The first one is Social media. Bro, I’m connected! I’m as connected as I want to be on any given platform. I can choose who I want to follow and talk to no matter where in the world they are. I feel connected.
Then I think about where I do life for you it’s largely school and your classmates maybe you feel connected because of who you know in your class, on that team or in at your school
But what if being connected was way deeper than that? Take a look at what pastor John said over the weekend…

And I wonder which soil is you right now? We all have all of these soils in our lives in different places and that’s why we need to Connect Again
So often in our culture in America we think it’s about consuming more content Right like you can get a 1-5 minute clip of your favorite pastors anywhere in the world online any time you want, you can even go back and watch as many Valley Creek messages as you want on our YouTube channel. Let’s be clear, what you consume matters, but you can consume the right content all day and still not feel like you are living free and walking out your kingdom purpose.
Because it’s not about consuming more content as much as it is about having conversations that cultivate the soil of our hearts so we can actually receive that truth and it can be watered.
1 Cor 3:6 – I planted the seed, Apollos watered it, but God has been making it grow.
God makes it that seed of truth grow. But someone has to plant that seed and someone has to water that seed we were designed to be in relationships that cultivate the soil of our hearts so we can receive truth, water truth and have it grow into reality in our lives. That’s called discipleship, it goes way beyond just being friends.
Who’s watering the seed of truth in your heart? Who’s having cultivating conversations that will allow that seed to take root in your life and become a reality? Because the world isn’t going to help you with that. They won’t ask the tuff questions and care about the condition of your heart to help you live free.
The bible says the truth will set you free, (John 8:32 reference on screen) and we all want to live free, but often that truth lands on the hard and rocky soils of our hearts. We need to Connect Again so we can have conversations that cultivate the soil of our hearts so we can live free…
Here’s one of the ways that will really help us Connect Again
——— Stop looking for us video clip ———
We need to Connect Again because we need relationships that can help break up the soil in our hearts & break down the word of God so we can receive the seeds of truth and live free
It starts here at Student Circles, but it continues through the week and throughout our lives
Listen there was a ton of great revelation shared with us over the weekend, so if you missed it, go back and watch it later, and make it a point to join us for the Student Weekend Experience every Sunday.
It’s time to Connect Again.
