This Will Require Faith

Description

So how’s your faith? Are you bringing your experiences up to your faith or lowering your faith down to your experiences? Where have you been losing faith or doubting God’s goodness?

The ancient path is walked by faith, not run by sight.

We have been in a series Ancient Future… practicing the way of Jesus, looking back to those who have gone before us, to see how they lived, so we can see the way forward in our modern world.
And our theme verse has been Jeremiah 6:16 This is what the LORD says: “Stand at the crossroads and look; ask for the ancient paths, ask where the good way is, and walk in it, and you will find rest for your souls. But you said, ‘We will not walk in it.’
We stand at a crossroads, with a narrow path and a wide path. One path is easy, a path with least resistance, but it leads to destruction. One of them is narrow, hard to get on, easy to get off of, and it leads to life… but we often choose the end of that verse.. “we will not walk in it”
And if we are gonna be real about it, it’s way easier to walk by sight than to walk by faith. To walk by what we can see, then what we can’t …
But this path, the Ancient Path, is only walked by faith … let’s get into it
